After the Veldt Skies Hotel on the outskirts of town, the Thorntree Hotel is the most prominent in Kealings City. Built in 1513, the hotel is owned by Arabella Gwinn, Kealings City's first successful milliner and dress maker. The Thorntree was built at the center of the growing colonial town, and remains a landmark. The namesake thorn tree outside the hotel has become a popular place for visitors to pin notes left as communications for fellow travelers on the road behind them.
