Scarpoint Square is an opening in the twisted warren of streets running through The Chuff. It is located on a flat spot halfway down the hill, directly underneath the elevated tracks of the Norrilund Metropolitan Rail. A notoriously dangerous railway station lies at the north end of the square.
Scarpoint is the blackened heart of the Chuff, the very worst part of Norrilund. Crime is rampant: burglary, theft, arson, assault, and murder are daily occurrences. The few vendors who brave the squalor to set up stalls in Scarpoint's market only do so under the protection of the Scar Blades or the Bowler Kings, Scartown's two competing gangs. To open a stall in Scarpoint Square without armed protection is to invite robbery.
