Gerhard Passek, a pleasant but fickle man, is the current burgomaster of the town of Kremnau. He is obsessed with Gramarker history and myth, and seems to care little for the health of the citizenry. He also maintains the Passek Archives, a library of Gramarker history, legends, and records. Passek expends a great deal of time and coin on administering and improving the collection, hopelessly conviced that it elevates his reputation with Count Ivan Ruzicka.
