Hassam Rukhali, Grand Vizier of Jamzodeh and confidant of Sultan Jal Halaam, is a cloistered but extremely intelligent scientist and inventor. A close friend of the Sultan, Rukhali has been set up with an extensive laboratory in the city of Raha. The Vizier's specialty is the science of magnetics, and he has developed numerous magnetic devices of wondrous effect, including Raha's Magnetic Railway. To repay the Sultan for his friendship and generosity, Rukhali created Yurisima, a woman assembled from portions of the corpses of dead women and animated by an incredibly intense magnetic field, and presented her to the Sultan as a gift.
