Diqaan is a Sultanate of the Kaspari Empire. It consists of the large island of Diqaan and the smaller surrounding islands, including Biharan, Shahan, Tarhaqus, Zir, and many others. Diqaan is the only permanently inhabited island in the archipelago, but fishing camps have been established on some of the smaller islands. Diqaan is dominated by a long spine of mountains covered in thorny thickets, which conceal numerous small lakes and streams. Much of the Sultanate's population lives in the rolling valleys south of the mountains. The wild coast to the north of the range is noted for its many hidden coves and harbors, which are often used by pirates.
