Cea offers neither good beaches nor sunny weather, and the thorny scrubland surrounding the city is barren to the point of desolation. However, the waters off its coast teem with fish. Although Cea began as a fishing village, it has since transformed into a permanent military garrison and a staging area for the Aveiran Navy. It hosts one of the largest docks in the country; from this location, Aveiran ships can easily protect the coasts of the Cotaral Sea from marauding pirates and brigands. The city supports a modest civilian population of fishermen as well, though the military restricts when and where they may ply their trade.
Aside from its fishing economy, Cea is also known for its namesake plant, the Cea tree. Alchemists and thaumaturges from around the world are constantly visiting the city to purchase extracts from the puissant tree.
