Bird Island is a rough and rocky island just northeast of Blanquillia in the Governorate of Darnossa. It is lushly vegetated and surrounded by a coral reef.
A group of around 200 shipwrights and laborers have been kidnapped and taken to this "deserted" rock to build a massive battle barge for James Argentine, the pirate Governor of Ressitas. They are guarded by fifty of his henchmen, and are near completion. Most of the shipbuilders are simply well-paid, but a few key individuals have been taken or their families threatened if they don’t comply.
Aside from the shipbuilders, Bird Island is populated by a few hundred native Attama.
